Artist Statement

Through intensive training, artists learn to see the world through a multitude of perspectives. We learn that absolutes are a relative term. We realize the very essence of aesthetic attraction.

I believe that art is a catalyst towards the constant changes of our perception of the world we live in.

Understanding these rules of attention, we must take up the responsibility for the potential doors we can open. Art (and when I say art, I also mean music, literature, acting, science, etc.) can and has spread hate, deceit, and ignorance. It can influence the behavior of an entire society.

Inversely, this also means it can inspire people; give them a feeling of empowerment. It can shed light to the shadowed areas many would like to keep in the dark

A lot of my work is inspired by politics and religion.

These are issues that Ive had to deal with my entire life. Expressing myself in a visual medium has been therapeutic for me, and I hope perhaps, it can help someone else.

As a student of the world, I feel it is my duty to act as a social commentator. History is written by the victor, so the truth lies in the art

An artist is a thought provoker, a mood enhancer, a mind-altering substance. I am not attempting to tell anyone how to think, behave, whatever. Everyone has their own way of playing the game. I just hope that these images encourage more free form individual thinking among the masses.
